Macam Mana

Bila kita cuba untuk menurunkan berat badan, ada macam macam cara.  Bagi aku yang tak dangkal fikiran ini dan juga sedar tentang pemakanan yang seimbang, apa apa pun ianya haruslah sihat.  Tidak sesekali cuba kurus dengan berlapar, mengambil pil dan apa apa yang sewaktu dengannya.

Secara ringkasnya, ia adalah lebih kepada memilih apa yang patut di makan. Nasi vs complex carbo, air suam vs teh o ais limau, roti canai vs healthier breakfast options.
Dan cuba untuk tidak menjadikan goreng pisang sebagai satu kebiasaan di petang hari...(yg ni ..memang payah...)

Di samping melakukan perubahan dalam menu harian....apa yang penting...mula untuk exercise !!.  Di sebabkan usia yang meningkat dan tentunya kadar metabolisma pun dah bukan macam zaman muda dulu, apa yang dimakan lebih lambat dibakar dan di tukar kepada tenaga.  

Ada yang berkata, tak lah susah mana untuk orang yang 'agak berat' untuk berdiet jika dibandingkan dengan orang yang memang dah debab teramat 'terlebih berat' - kes lambat sedar.  Jangan marah atau rasa tersindir kerana segala sindiran adalah ditujukan pada diri aku sendiri.  Tapi kalau ada yang terasa tu, apa kata ambil ianya sebagai satu yang positif untuk sama sama kita berusaha untuk capai berat yang ideal.  Bukan lah semata mata untuk nampak lebih 'elok' di mata sendiri (bila tengok cermin) tetapi juga untuk kesihatan.

Dah lari tajuk la...
Awalnya nak cerita cara diet aku....tapi termerapu lah pulak.  Tapi..masih tak bosan kan.  Kalau bosan....pergi baca benda lain.....tak marah pun....nanti datang balik...ok.

Macam mana nak diet ...?
High level summary lah dulu ya....(lain kali kita cerita panjang)
1) Kurangkan carbo intake
2) Banyakkan sayuran dan buah-buahan
3) Bersenam (memang payah...tapi...HARUS)
4) Tambah pengetahuan dan cuba cari dan baca testimonial orang2 yang dah berjaya melakukannya (secara sihat)

Berdasarkan 'study untuk kurus aku', aku kali ini tidak berniat untuk jadi 'die-hard follower' mana mana cara diet atau mana mana produk.

Tetapi secara ringkasnya aku kategorikan diet aku....60% lebih kepada diet atkins.  Yang nak baca lebih lanjut pasal atkins pergi ke www.atkins.com ........cukup kat sini dulu.....

It Starts Now

Alamak...
Kind of (kononnya la..) busy today.  Just a quick note to keep my journal momentum. Also to keep my mind from thinking about....opps...cant say..since I am not going to think about it. So...not suppose to even say it right. You know how our mind always wander to areas where we say DONT.

Lunch...was a bit difficult. Tried to keep my carbo intake low.  Though there's Subway near my office..that still high in carbo.  Unfortunately, terbabas..make an 'idiot' choice.  Ada ke patut...aku pegi makan MCD fried chicken. Kononnya...chicken is protein. Then..balun fries. Fail fail fail !!!!

The good part, I managed to drink about 3 litres of plain water. It does feel good except I am the frequent toilet visitor for the day.

Dinner...no rice. A big achievement for me. All this while, I cannot say NO to rice - dinnertime.

Manage to drag myself to exercise on my crosstrainer. 15 minutes only....semput. Not that bad huh...
We see how I do tomorrow....

WELCOME 2012

It's 2nd January 2012, A Monday. And since 1st falls on a Sunday, today is PH. This is a blog that i just created without much thinking into it. It's going to be a journal towards achieving my Ideal Weight... it's one of my New Year resolutions. (besides jadi insan yang lebih baik..ha..ha..)
Ok...let's face it. I was very active - in sport - during school and I never had any issue (before) with staying slim and healthy. I was very very thankful (and lucky) for that. I had a great 'younger years' of eating...It was heaven. I continued to enjoy it until my mid 30s when suddenly I realised that the 'food' just cling to my body...only it transformed into 'fat' and 'muffin top'...
When I started to watch my food intake...most people...friends...are saying...." la...u ok apa. Tak adalah gemuk".
Yes...i am not obese...yet. Infact, since Malaysia has too many of obese people (sorry, statistic I tak tahu)...I still looks very very normal.
Oh ya...what is my weight...and height...I am around 65-66kg....and 155cm - 157cm tall. Always had my height taken not accurate...nevermind ...i dont have any issue being assumed 2cm taller or shorter. And that combination gives me an unhealthy BMI. What is BMI..what is the healthy and unhealthy...google sendiri ok.
I actually started the quest to achieve my ideal weight sometime in May 2010. And I failed (not miserably). I was good in the beginning, I started to eat healthy, exercising....then...i stray from the path. I get back on it....I stay on the path...and I strayed....you know the story.....
So....today is my FIRST day....and let's see where I be 6 months from now...and I really hope by doing this together we can help one another.....
